An engineering team that measures before it touches.
REI Balance is the rotor dynamics unit of Rootcastle Engineering & Innovation. The team that balances in the field also designs the measuring board and the balancing machine it uses.
Before we add weight to a machine, we measure why it vibrates.
Mission
Reduce unplanned downtime of rotating equipment; make balancing, vibration analysis and measuring hardware accessible, understandable and verifiable.
Vision
An engineering brand that solves rotor dynamics end to end, from field to bench and from sensor to algorithm, and documents every number it produces.
How we work
Diagnosis first
Balancing is not the cure for every vibration. We confirm the source of the problem first, then apply the right correction.
Open data
Every value we measure, the method we use and the result we reach go into the report; anyone can verify it by document number.
Our own hardware
We develop the measuring board, the balancing machine and the solver ourselves, so we know where every number in the result comes from.
Safety
Lockout-tagout, rotating equipment safety and site rules are the first step of every job. In hardware, a fault means a safe stop.
Four steps of a site visit
-
Initial measurement
Horizontal, vertical and axial vibration at the bearings: overall level, spectrum and phase.
-
Diagnosis
We confirm whether the problem really is unbalance, separating misalignment, looseness, resonance and bearing defects.
-
Correction
Single- or two-plane balancing with the trial-weight influence coefficient method; laser alignment if required.
-
Report
Before/after values, ISO zone classification, applied weights and recommendations.
Is your machine vibrating? Talk to us before it stops.
Tell us the equipment type, speed and the symptom you see. We will agree the measurement plan, the visit date and, if needed, the machine or controller solution.
